i am currently a college freshman in California. my birthday is on June 30th :3

i also really like doing things involving graphic design. As of recent, I've mostly been drawing traditionally graphite and creating characters in Paint 3D. i also enjoy experimenting with different web layouts using HTML and CSS. i enjoy playing minesweeper lol. my favorite animal is a cat, and i rlly would like to own one or multiple someday when i am responsible enough hehe

idk what else to put so here are some other facts about me:

im vietnamese and can comfortably speak it with others; i also learned korean and mandarin in highschool but know very very little of either language

i want to get a degree in comp sci, but was previously interested in pursuing psychology

my first ever html site was made in 2019 for my ap cs principles class; i found out about neocities later on and created my first neocities site during november 2019

my family is catholic, but i dont really believe in a god or religion. imo, religious institutions are kind of contradictory since they set these guidelines on how to be a "good christian"/"good catholic" etc. when one's relationship with God is highly personal and thus can't be categorized like that... yk? also.. just the general corruptness and way bigots cite religion as a way to justify their beliefs just turns me off from the whole thing. however, i think the right to exercise religious beliefs is paramount.. as long as it doesnt infringe on the rights and well-being of others

i also think we should decriminalize the possession of all drugs. people should have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies, which includes usage of potentially harmful substances. also, the stigma that comes with the criminalization of drugs often fosters a feeling of guilt and shame rather than discouragement. in a similar vein, i also think campaigns like DARE or Red Ribbon are largely ineffective; all they realistically do is encourage fear mongoring surrounding drug use. neither really teach the youth about genuine implications of drug abuse or provide impactful support. in my opinion, for either campaign to be effective, they should ditch the cheap scare tactics in favor of a more hands-on approach. FUCK RED RIBBON AND DARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
